Their unbelievably gracious attitude, vibrant smiles and willingness to learn is what makes this team so special.
Straight out of Camuy, this rookie group full of friendly faces has shown us that what you lack in experience, you can certainly make up for in enthusiasm.
“They give it their all with very little resources. As a teacher I love seeing how they invent and solve,” says coach Digna Rivera, a beloved science teacher at Escuela Luis F. Crespo with an affinity for astronomy.
The collective, who is set to make their Championship debut in less than a week, recently caught up with Miray, director of FIRST LEGO League PR, during a live stream and shared with us their story. (Replay available in our videos page.)
In the video, they briefly mention their trip to NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration as part of their research project, and their aspirations to grow within the program.
